The Warehouse Group supports Super Saturday

In a bid to encourage Kiwis to get vaccinated, The Warehouse Group is showing its support for the government's 'Super Saturday' initiative by providing over $80,000 in spot prizes.

The Warehouse Group Chief Executive Officer, Nick Grayston, says we all have a role to play in protecting ourselves, our whanau, and our communities.

"Vaccination is the most important tool we have to keep Aotearoa safe and to get back to some sense of normality. We're pleased to play our part in supporting the government's efforts to get New Zealand above a 90% vaccination rate."

The Warehouse Group will be offering more than $65,000 in vouchers from The Warehouse at key vaccination sites across the country and throughout the live televised Vaxathon event. There will also be 500 six-month MarketClub memberships from TheMarket.com given away over the course of the day.

Vaccination facilities will be set up at a number of The Warehouse locations around the country in the stores’ carparks. The Warehouse locations include Bell Block (12:00pm -2:00pm), New Plymouth (9:00am – 3:30pm), Dargaville (10:00am – 6:00pm) and Hillcrest (10am to 4pm).

In parallel, The Warehouse is running a nationwide competition through its social channels to win a PlayStation 5. The post went live on The Warehouse Facebook’s page on Wednesday morning. To enter, people simply need comment with why they have chosen to be, or are going to be vaccinated.

The Warehouse Group showed its support for getting Auckland vaccinated by partnering with Auckland Airport and other businesses to provide spot prizes at the Airports Park n Ride facility.

Additionally, The Warehouse Group has actively promoted and encouraged team members to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by offering a one-off payment of $100 to all fully vaccinated employees across the business which includes The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming, and Torpedo7. The payment is available to team members in its stores, distribution centres and support offices.

"To help protect our people, we are also encouraging our team of 11,000 to get the jab. All employees who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, up to and including 26 November, are eligible for this one-off $100 payment”, says CEO Nick Grayston.

"We strongly encourage our team members to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves, their workmates, their whānau and our customers against COVID-19."
